Blagojevich Admission Links Jerry Costello to Tapes and Corruption Trial!
| Rod Blagojevich links Jerry Costello
to corruption investigation and trial through an admission on Fox News
that Costello will be called to testify in the next trial. |
Aug 24, 2010 – In a stunning development, embattled former
governor and convicted felon Rod Blagojevich linked long term career
politician Congressman Jerry Costello to the FBI corruption
investigation and upcoming retrial. According to Costello's campaign
finance records, "donated" over fifty thousand dollars to Rod
Blagojevich in 2006 while the governor was under investigation by the
FBI for corruption. Jerry Costello's name surfaced for the first time
in the ongoing corruption scandal when Blagojevich mention that he would
be calling Jerry Costello to testify in the upcoming re-trial along
with Jesse Jackson, Jr. who was featured prominently in the alleged
attempted sale of the Senate seat formerly held by Barack Obama.
In a direct quote from the interview, Costello is implicated as being part of the alleged conspiracy to sell the Senate seat:
BLAGOJEVICH:" I don't -- there were -- there was a tape played
in court where my brother was approached by a representative. We talked
about the Jackson people offering something like $1 million or $1.5
million in campaign contributions. My brother very clearly said we --
money will have nothing to do with this decision.
This was never about campaign contributions. What the prosecutor
stopped was a political deal where Rahm Emanuel's helping make happen.
Congressman Costello possibly could have been involved."
While this is a stunning turn of events in the ongoing corruption
re-trial preparation, Jerry Costello's opponent in the upcoming
election, Teri Newman, was not surprised by the governor's revelation.
"We ALL know what kind of guy Jerry Costello is" Mrs. Newman stated
"and he did give Blagojevich more than fifty thousand dollars from his
campaign donations, so it's not a stretch for me to believe that
Costello is involved in this case in some way."
The blunt and outspoken Mrs. Newman is posing a serious challenge to
the beleaguered Costello who is under fire for his massive tax
spending votes, his support of illegal aliens and his support of and
vote for Obamacare as well as for accepting close to 3 million dollars
in campaign donations in 2000 and 2006 when he ran unopposed for
re-election.
Much Ado About Nothing: Costello spends FIVE YEARS TO GET 75 JOBS AT Mid-America Mausoleum
| Jerry Costello postures and panders
for the cameras but a McDonald's would bring the same 75 jobs to the
concrete tombstone in the cornfields; and the State of Illinois ponies
up $2.3 million taxpayer dollars for these 75 jobs. |
Aug 19, 2010 – Jerry Costello huffed and he puffed but in the
end, it was nothing but puffery and trickery at a press conference
designed to bolster the hopes of a district desperate for jobs and
economic growth. "Boeing has contributed tens of thousands of dollars to
Costello's campaigns in the last decade and has a vested interest in
keeping him in office" states Teri Newman, the Republican nominee for
the 12th district Congressional seat "so they send their people to a
press conference to bolster support for their boy".
Mrs. Newman is the first serious challenge Jerry Costello has faced
during a tenure marred by scandal nipping at his heels. Jerry Costello
was an unindicted co-conspirator in the trial of Amiel Cueto, who was
convicted on June 11, 1997 of one count of conspiracy to defraud the
United States and three counts of obstructing justice. An ethics
complaint was filed on September 25, 1997, to request an investigation
into whether he violated criminal prohibitions against the acceptance of
an illegal gratuity or a bribe, whether he violated federal financial
disclosure requirements, and whether he tried to obstruct a federal
gambling investigation. Additionally, he took nearly 3 million dollars
in campaign contributions in 2000 and 2006 while running unopposed and
spent 1.2 million in the same cycles when he had no opponent in the
race.
"Boeing has no skin in this deal as Illinois taxpayers ponied up the
2.3 million dollars in incentives" Mrs. Newman stated "and they can
pull out with impunity if they don't get the tanker contract, which
oddly enough will be announced AFTER the election. The U.S. Military has
been cutting back on defense contracts so the tanker contract may never
come to fruition and so there's nothing to keep Boeing from backing out
of the deal if they don't get the tanker contract".
"Also, this whole thing might just be smoke and mirrors to keep
Costello in office since they have invested so much money in keeping him
in Congress" she opined "and how do we know they won't send people from
St. Louis to fill the jobs Costello supposedly created?"
Boeing is famous for laying off workers in tough times, a pattern
they have followed for many years during the ups and downs of the U. S.
economy and the inhospitable business atmosphere of Illinois may not be
something they want to buy into for the long haul. Many businesses have
fled Illinois due to the high taxes and labor costs.
"Five years of effort for 75 jobs is a pretty lame effort if you ask
me" continued Mrs. Newman who is a successful businesswoman. "What
does Costello DO all day long?" she asked, "I could have brought in 75
jobs with an SBA loan and a McDonald's in 3 months without taxpayers
having to pay 2.3 million dollars in corporate welfare."
Jerry Costello Supports Corruption in Illinois
| Jerry Costello gave more than $50,000 to Blagojevich in 2006 and supported him politically as well as financially. |
–
Aug 18, 2010 – Belleville, IL- Jerry Costello supports convicted
former Governor Rod Blagojevich politically and financially according to
his campaign financial records. In 2006 Jerry Costello gave over
$50,000 to Rod Blagojevich for his re-election campaign documented by
opensecrets.org, a non-partisan watchdog website that keeps records of
all money received and spent by Congress.
Costello is no stranger to massive influxes of campaign cash as he took almost three million dollars in “donations”
when he ran unopposed in the 2000 and 2006 and spent 1.3 million when
he had no opponent through donations to every liberal Democrat he liked.
Rod Blagojevich has become an example to all of America about the
slimy underbelly of politics and corruption. Blagojevich was a selfish
politician who was always trying to better himself by using his
political influence and power to the detriment of the taxpayers and
voters.
Costello’s initial reaction was one of the most supportive of all
of the Illinois politicians. Other Democrats said that his actions
“represent a shameful breach of the public trust and be cause for the
governor’s immediate resignation “ (US Rep Phil Hare D-IL), or “our
state cannot afford to remain engulfed in this unfolding scandal. Our
government’s ability to deal on a daily basis with the fiscal and
economic crises we currently face demands leadership and integrity. Our
governor cannot provide either” (State Comptroller Dan Hynes-Democrat) yet Costello said nothing of the Governor’s actions as being disappointing or disgraceful.
Teri Newman, the Republican candidate for Congress running in
Illinois’ 12th district, says “Costello has been consistent on
supporting the corrupt political machine in Illinois. He does not stand
up for the citizens of southern Illinois if it means standing up against
the machine that has created high unemployment, a large budget deficit
and a culture of corruption in Illinois.” Mrs. Newman is running against
Costello in the November election and is the first serious threat for
the career politician in decades. Costello’s disapproval ratings
are extremely high due to his highly unpopular spending votes and his
vote to support Obamacare was particularly enraging to the district.
Mrs. Newman is a businesswoman who is adamantly opposed to the
health care bill and takes no money from any PAC or special interest
groups.
Costello Continues Desperate Pattern of Lies about Scott Air
Force Base
| Jerry Costello continues his
time-worn
strategy of desperately lying to people about Scott Air
Force Base
being closed if he loses his re-election bid. |
Mrs. Newman
May 29, 2010 – Jerry Costello is continuing his pattern of lying
to the people of the 12th District of Illinois. He began by lying to
the people of the 12th district and ASSURING them that he would not be
voting for Obama-care. He lied for several days about the health care
vote and continued to maintain that he would not be voting for it--right
up until he voted for it.
Throughout his mediocre 22-year career, he
has used the tactic of
lying about Scott Air Force base being closed if he wasn't re-elected to
continue to "protect" the base and sent a letter out Thursday at taxpayer expense to again warn them that SAFB might not survive his defeat. However, Scott is not now and never
has been in danger of being closed and this has nothing to do with the
increasingly desperate 22-year incumbent. He is facing a serious
challenge for the first time in more than a decade from Teri Newman, a
businesswoman in Highland who has come after him with the gloves off
from the second she filed her nominating petition.
"Jerry's been lying for years about being the only thing keeping
Scott open" stated the blunt and no-nonsense Mrs. Newman "He doesn't
have the juice to keep it open if the Defense Department wanted it
closed, but they don't" she continued. "and Scott will never be closed
as they have 3 major commands billeted there and just finished a billion
dollars worth of improvements."
Mrs. Newman has been openly contemptuous of the beleaguered Costello
who is reputed to be hiding from the voters of the 12th district since
his highly unpopular health care vote. She had flatly called him a liar
when asked by the Belleville News-Democrat for a comment on his
position before the vote and adamantly maintained that he was lying
about voting for the health care bill. She was proven correct when the
long-term incumbent voted for the health care bill that he spend 3 days
denying that he would vote for the bill and then did exactly what the
forthright Mrs. Newman correctly predicted.
Costello has other problems too. His son-in-law, Steve Terschluse
who is the current husband of the multi-married Gina Costello, is being
sued in federal court and is being chased by the IRS for non-payment of
taxes and is seriously in arrears in his court-ordered child support for
his 12-year old daughter and former wife according to St. Clair county
court records which make for some very interesting reading.
"I guess when you marry into the Costello family, paying your taxes,
union obligations and child support become voluntary." opined the
outspoken Mrs. Newman who has been relentless in her criticism of the
incumbent. She has also criticized Costello for taking nearly 3 million
dollars in campaign "donations" in cycles where he ran unopposed and
has made public her scorn for his ethics in doing so. Her popularity is
continuing to soar as her message of fiscal responsibility and repeal
for Obama-care is resonating with the people of the district. Her
direct, blunt observations and comments are making her the darling of
the Conservatives that are very prevalent in the district and she is
hammering away at the increasingly desperate candidate-in-
hiding.
"Jerry's afraid to show his face in the district" she stated in her
usual direct manner and then added "and he should be--the voters are
furious with him".
Costello has refused multiple offers to debate the Conservative
nominee but with her campaign signs sprouting along the street where his
home is located, there's no doubt that he is in serious trouble in
November and even his usual tactic of lying about Scott Air Force Base
being closed if he's tossed out of Congress is falling on deaf ears.
Costello Lies About Illegal Immigration in Email
| Jerry Costello is now lying about his
voting record and claiming to be against illegal immigration when his
voting record shows clearly that he is pro-amnesty! |
Jun 13, 2010 – Jerry Costello has desperately begun to lie in his
emails to constituents in the 12th district. In an email sent to a
resident of the 12th district obtained by the Republican Nominee Teri
Davis Newman, the beleaguered incumbent makes desperate claims to be
anti-illegal immigration when his voting record clearly shows that he is
extremely PRO-amnesty for illegal aliens.
From the Email sent to a Constituent Costello writes:
"Regarding immigration, I strongly support measures to control our
borders, including building the border fence and using our active duty,
Reserve and National Guard troops to patrol our borders. Only after we
secure our borders can we address the other aspects of reform. Much
remains to be done, but we are seeing signs of progress regarding border
control; the Department of Homeland Security reported the number of
illegal immigrants dropped by 1 million people from 2008 to 2009, the
largest decrease in 30 years."
However, Costello's voting record tells a different story and shows a pro-illegal alien stand:
Costello voted against the Ose Amendment to H.R. 10, the 9/11
Recommendations Implementation Act. The Ose Amendment would have ensured
completion of the last 14 miles of the San Diego border fence. This
would serve as a physical barrier to additional illegal immigration.
This makes his statement that he is in favor of a border fence a TOTAL
AND COMPLETE LIE and raises serious questions about his character.
Here are a few more of his votes that clearly show that he is PRO-ILLEGAL ALIEN:
HR 5719 Costello cast the deciding vote AGAINST punishing sanctuary cities that shelter illegal aliens from prosecution in 2007
Costello voted against allowing consideration of verification
amendments to the health care reform bill in 2009 which will allow
illegal aliens access to Obamacare.
Costello voted against the Norwood Amendment, to H.R. 1817, the
Department of Homeland Security Appropriations bill. The amendment,
sponsored by Rep. Norwood (R-GA), clarifies the existing authority of
State and local law enforcement personnel to assist in the apprehension
and detention of illegal aliens.
Voted in favor of allowing illegal aliens to vote in union elections
Costello voted against H.R. 6095, the Immigration Law Enforcement Act of 2006
Costello voted against the King Amendment to H.R. 5441 in 2007 The
amendment would deny federal homeland security funding to state and
local governments who refuse to share information with Federal
immigration authorities. The King Amendment would have been a huge
incentive to rescind the policies that protect illegal aliens, criminal
aliens, and, potentially, terrorists, by denying states and localities
that enact them some Federal funding.
Costello voted against the Tancredo Amendment to H.R. 5541 which
would have prohibited amnesty for illegal aliens from Central America
which includes Mexico.
Costello voted against the Sullivan Amendment to H.R. 4437, the
Border Protection, Anti-terrorism, and Illegal Immigration Control Act
of 2005 which REQUIRES the removal of illegal aliens.
Costello voted against the Norwood Amendment to H.R. 4437, the
Border Protection, Anti-terrorism, and Illegal Immigration Control Act
of 2005. The Norwood amendment clarifies the existing authority of State
and local law enforcement personnel to assist in the apprehension and
detention of illegal aliens. This amendment would not only help deter
future illegal immigration, but gradually begin to reduce the current
10-12 million illegal alien population in the United States.
Rep. Costello voted against H. Amdt. 288 to H.R. 2862, the the
Science, Departments of State, Justice, and Commerce Appropriations,
2006 Act. The amendment, offered by Rep. Tom Tancredo (R-CO) would deny
federal funding to states and cities that are in violation of section
642(a) of the Illegal Immigration Reform and Immigrant Responsibility
Act of 1996. (This is the provision that specifically prohibits state
and local governments from enacting sanctuary policies that bar public
officials, including police officers, from asking an individual's
immigration status to determine eligibility for public services and from
reporting illegal aliens to federal authorities.)
Costello voted FOR H RES 365, which was brought up and passed in a
new form in March of 2002. The vote in favor of the bill was a vote in
favor of rewarding illegal aliens via a four-month reinstatement of
Section 245(i). That is a provision that allows illegal aliens to be
allowed to stay in this country without fear of deportation until their
turn arrives for a green card years, and even decades, later.
Costello voted on the floor of the House IN FAVOR OF a motion to
suspend the rules and pass H.R. 1885, a four-month extension of Section
245(i), which is a de facto amnesty in that current federal policy did
not deport illegal aliens.
Costello co-sponsored H.R.3553 which rewarded almost 1.2 million
illegal aliens from El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras and Haiti by
putting them on the path to U.S. citizenship. This amnesty would have
been IN ADDITION to the one passed in 1997 for almost one million
Cubans, Nicaraguans and other long-time resident illegal aliens from
Central America
Rep. Costello cosponsored H.R.36, thereby working to put about one
million illegal aliens from Honduras, El Salvador, Guatemala and Haiti,
including their spouses and children, on a path to U.S. citizenship. He
joined with those who believe that illegal aliens should not be forced
to return to their own countries if those countries. Rep. Costello
advocated rewarding those who violated U.S. immigration laws by making
them permanent lawful U.S. residents.
"Jerry Costello is a fervent supporter of amnesty for illegal aliens
which is a slap in the face to LEGAL IMMIGRANTS who played by the
rules" stated the forthright Mrs. Newman upon seeing the email "and he
has no scruples about LYING to the citizens in the 12th district about
his support for illegal aliens." she continued.
Mrs. Newman has been an adamant and steadfast supporter of removing
illegal aliens from the United States by any means necessary and has
strongly supported Arizona's Governor Jan Brewer in her fight to enforce
federal immigration laws by passing a similar state law in the Grand
Canyon State.
Newman Pledges to De-Fund ObamaCare
| Teri Davis Newman vows to starve
Obama-Care for funding and takes a public pledge at the website
DeFundit.org to do so in Washington. |
May 25, 2010 – Charlottesville, VA – Today DeFundIt.org is proud
to announce Teri Davis Newman, Republican candidate for Illinois’s 12th
Congressional District, signed our pledge to de-fund Obama-Care. Over 90
candidates have now signed the pledge, including Congressman Todd
Tiahrt, Congressman Ron Paul, Congressman Steve King, Utah Senate front
runner Tim Bridgewater, and six NRCC “Young Guns”. Chairman Alex Cortes,
speaking on Teri Davis Newman’s pledge said:
"By signing our pledge, Teri Newman has taken a leadership position
in calling for the de-funding of Obama-Care as the first necessary step
to fully repealing and replacing this unconstitutional, job-killing,
fiscal train wreck. Americans and Illinoisans would have a friend in
Congress with a principled public servant like Mrs.Newman".
Mrs. Newman's opponent, incumbent Jerry F. Costello-D IL-12 voted
for the original bill on November 7th and again in March and was
instrumental in the passage of the bill. Costello had maintained that
he would NOT vote for the bill for several days before the final vote on
Sunday and Newman boldly called him a liar when asked by the Belleville
News-Democrat and said that he would vote for the health care bill and
she was proven correct. The district had opposed the bill by a 2-to-1
margin but Costello ignored his constituents and voted with the
Democratic party as he has done in 98% of his career votes. Costello
has been under attack since the health care vote by Mrs. Newman and has
refused to debate her on multiple occasions. He has also been in
virtual hiding since the bill passed as he is apparently afraid to face
the wrath of the district and will only appear at private events where
the general public has no access to him.
"He's a liar and a coward" snapped Mrs. Newman when asked why the
long-term incumbent would not debate her "and he's only debated ONE bill
in his entire career. He knows I'll rip him to shreds over the health
care vote and many other issues." she continued bluntly. The
tart-tongued Mrs. Newman is known for her very direct answers and
no-nonsense attitude which have made her popular with the voters and a
serious threat to the 22-year incumbent in this season of voter
discontent.
Congressional Candidate Teri Davis Newman condemns Durbin and Burris as "Baby Killers"
| Teri Newman outraged by Senate
Vote to fund Abortions and calls Illinois Senators Dick Durbin and
Roland Burris "Baby Killers" and vows to continue to fight to keep
federal funds from paying for abortion. |
Dec 08, 2009 – A furious Teri Newman called Senator Dick
Durbin and Senator Roland Burris "Baby Killers" over their votes to
allow the government-funded health care to pay for abortion as part of
the controversial Senate health care bill.
"I'm ashamed that both of the Senators representing the State of
Illinois in our Nation's Capitol are nothing but a pair of baby
killers". snapped Mrs. Newman when reached with the news that both of
the Illinois Senators voted to include abortion payment in the
controversial Senate health care bill even though the Democratic party
including President Obama routinely takes a pro-abortion stance in
legislation and support abortion up to and including partial birth
abortion on a viable fetus which Obama supported in the Senate.
"They're on board with death panels for the elderly and the murder
of unborn babies" continued the fiery tart-tongued Republican candidate
"and let's hope that the disabled and mentally challenged aren't the
next ones in their gunsights." she continued contemptuously; although her voice shook with anger.
Durbin was re-elected in 2008 and doesn't fear facing voter wrath
until 2014 while Burris; facing certain defeat in an election in 2010
decided not to run in a state filled with voter wrath over his
appointment by disgraced and impeached former Governor Rod Blagojevich.
Mrs. Newman's opponent, beleaguered Congressman Jerry Costello
contributed $51,000.00 to Blagojevich in 2006 while the accused felon
governor was under investigation by the FBI. Costello also supported
the health care bill in the Saturday night sneak attack on America,
kowtowing to the nationally detested Speaker Nancy Pelosi's pressure to
vote for the highly unpopular health care bill.
"When will Illinois Democrats wake up and stop supporting their
elected officials that ignore them and vote with special interest
groups?" asked the outspoken Mrs. Newman.
Mrs. Newman has been gaining popularity and support rapidly in
Illinois' 12th Congressional District for her candid opposition to the
policies of the incumbent who took nearly 3 million dollars in campaign
contributions in campaign cycles when he ran unopposed and for his
failure to hold a town meeting with the voters of the 12th district for
a number of years. She has pledged to be the "People's Congresswoman" and to carry the wishes of the 12th district to Washington DC when elected.
"We need to take back America from the liberals who are destroying
our great nation and trying to turn us into a Socialist country." she
states at every campaign appearance and her message is resonating with
the voters of the 12th district.
Congressional Candidate Teri Davis Newman Blasts Jerry Costello for Not Supporting Military Effort
| Teri Davis Newman angrily lambasted
Costello for his lack of support for American troops in Afghanistan and
labeled him "Cut and Run Costello" for his desertion of the military in
the war on terror. |
Dec 01, 2009 – Fairview Heights, IL--Teri Davis Newman,
Republican candidate for 12th Illinois Congressional District seat
lambasted Jerry Costello today, accusing him of withdrawing support for
the American military and deserting the troops after President Obama
finally decided to heed the advice of his generals and send more troops
to Afghanistan.
"Jerry Costello suddenly becomes a fiscal conservative, today of all
days, at the cost of supporting American men and women in uniform?"
asked Mrs. Newman who appeared shocked by the news of Costello's
desertion of the military.
Mrs. Newman and many others in the 12th district have long
considered the aging incumbent to be one of Nancy Pelosi's sycophantic
lapdogs voting as he is told to do. According to Congressional records
98% of his votes are in lockstep with the Democratic party and Pelosi's
wishes, including supporting the highly unpopular health care bill,
passed in the Saturday night sneak attack on Americans.
In a voice filled with anger Mrs. Newman blasted the incumbent:
"Costello says we can’t afford to pay for a war with a credit
card--but he didn’t have ANY problem using a taxpayer supported credit
card for bailout money for banks and special interest groups while
running up the national debt to record levels and rocketing the
unemployment rate to double digits" she continued in a voice filled with
anger "but when America’s military leaders asked for more troops and
supplies to finish the job in Afghanistan, he suddenly decided
supporting the troops was unaffordable and whined that "other countries
need to do their part." .
The conservative Mrs. Newman is a staunch supporter of America's
military as her father-in-law is a retired USAF fighter pilot and
Fighter Weapons School (Top Gun) instructor and her husband is an
engineer working at Scott Air Force Base.
"What happened to America being a world leader, and what do you say
to families whose children have paid the ultimate price for our
freedom?" she asked, her voice cracking with emotion and she continued
her attack on Costello's position
"What do we tell the parents of our brave soldiers---Sorry, we
don’t want to stay and finish the job because it costs too much, let
France do it?" she queried sarcastically and then sarcastically snapped:
"Jerry deserves a new title: "Cut and Run Costello!"
Mrs. Newman's oldest niece served two tours in Iraq as member of
the Air Force Security Police working with a bomb dog to find IEDs
(Improvised Explosive Device) and also spent time in Kuwait during her
military service. Mrs. Newman concluded her remarks with:
"Our brave patriots who volunteer to risk their lives to fight for
our freedom deserve our support. They are being abandoned by
Congressman Costello over money--the same Costello that voted for the
TARP bailout fiasco and the nightmare deficits Pelosi-care will bring to
America's taxpayers. The people of the 12th district deserve much
better representation in Congress than someone who jumps when Nancy
Pelosi snaps her fingers and obediently votes the Party manifesto."
The Primary election is February 2, 2010 and the General election is
November 2, 2010 for the Congressional seat. With his approval rating
an abysmal 37% the incumbent Costello is facing a serious challenge from
Mrs. Newman, a businesswoman who is gaining rapid support through the
district with her message of fiscal responsibility and refusal to accept
contributions from special interest groups and PACs resonating with the
voters.
Congressional Candidate Teri Davis Newman joins Police and Firefighters in Demonstration
| 12th Congressional District Republican
Challenger Teri Davis Newman joined East St. Louis Police Officers and
Firefighters in protesting the layoffs of firefighters and police
officers in front of the Police Department in East St. Louis today. |
Sep 21, 2009 – In a rare move for a political candidate,
Republican 12th District Congressional challenger Teri Davis Newman
displayed strong support and joined police and firefighters on the
street in front of the police department in their protests against the
city of East St. Louis for cutting fire and police services and laying
off police officers and firefighters. Mrs. Newman joined the protest to
show her strong support of the embattled police and firefighters as
they protested the city's attempt to reduce their budget shortfalls by
eliminating 13 firefighter positions. Mrs. Newman refused to do an on
camera interview with Channel 5 stating that she was there to support
the firefighters, not to grab publicity at their expense.
"I'm here to support the police and firefighters, not to further my
political career." stated the likely Republican Congressional nominee as
she mingled with the protestors and listened to their concerns.
Later in the day, the Financial Advisory Authority rejected the
budget cuts pushed by East St Louis mayor Alvin Parks because of sagging
tax revenue which gave a reprieve to the firefighters who were
scheduled to be laid off beginning October 1, 2009.
When reached at home with the news, Mrs. Newman expressed her relief
that the citizens of East St. Louis would not lose 13 firefighters for
the foreseeable future and vowed to continue her fight for the citizens
of East St. Louis.
"They've been used by the Democrats for their votes to keep my
opponent in office and it's time for me to take up their cause because
the incumbent doesn't care about anything but getting re-elected" she
stated "and I'm here to see that they get the representation they
deserve".
